The Manchester Airport android app builds on the success of the Manchester Airport iPhone app to deliver a more feature rich user experience, whilst retaining the usefulness of the original app. The focus for the app is to deliver real time flight information to a user and provide a means of way finding in and out of terminal without huge data requirements. Around this we built an app that makes full use of an Android devices native features to provide a more intuitive user experience.
The app features real time flight information, car park booking information with Google maps integration to provide directions and mark the exact location of a car, voice search, location based services to recognise when a user is at the airport an increase update frequency and links out to the Manchester Airport mobile site to facilitate bookings.
