Our creative department is bursting with talented designers who love to create engaging websites.

With our talent for design and technical expertise, we create cutting edge web sites and on line marketing campaigns to enhance your brand and deliver returns.

In the past seventeen years, we’ve created hundreds of websites for both B2B and B2C companies such as Manchester Airport, Tensar International, Milligan Retail, Jetparks, IMI Cornelius and Cleardebt.

Content Management

Web content management systems are popular with organisations who want to be able to manage the website themselves (with no technical knowledge). We have experience in several different content management systems including IBM, Sitecore, Activedition and Ackura Site Manager as well as developing and supporting open source technologies such as Drupal and Umbraco.

CMS’s enable companies to add, update, track and publish content. Some are simple with straight forward web editing functionality and some are more complicated with features suitable for large enterprises.

KMP can advise on content management solutions to suit your staff, technology expertise, workflow requirements and budget.

Web Strategy

We work with you to produce an innovative Web Strategy which will deliver your specific requirements to an agreed ROI metric.

This process normally starts with a Discovery Design and Scoping programme where we research the competition, define the information architecture and application requirements for the site, and suggest some alternative interface designs incorporating your brand guidelines and relevant user experience features.

From this process we prescribe a definitive costed production plan along with technical architecture (content management and applications), hosting and support recommendations.

After the site has been built and tested it is handed over and recommendations for ongoing marketing, search engine and social media are proposed. The evolution of Web 2.0 has meant that the use of RSS feeds, Blogs and Social Networks can massively expand the reach of a website’s content, quickly and easily. People don’t just need to visit a company’s website anymore to find out about a product or service.

Usability

Once underway it is important to regularly review your web presence to see whether it still delivers against your original communication objectives. Usability testing can be defined by the following factors:

  • Learnability – how easy it is for users to learn basic functionality.
  • Efficiency – how quickly can users perform tasks
  • Memorability – can users remember how to use the website after a period of not visiting the site
  • Errors – how many errors do users make, and of what severity.
  • Satisfaction – how enjoyable is it to use the website

KMP always designs websites with usability in mind, and we aim to make the user experience the best yet.

Accessibility

Once you have built a shiny new website, you want to make sure that as many people as possible visit your new site.  To ensure that this happens and to maximise the number of users on your site, you must consider it’s accessibility to guarantee that as many visitors as possible can access information on your website.

Web Accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the web, and can perceive, understand, navigate and interact on websites. The scale of this can vary from simple variables such as font size, to non-visual browsers as used by the visually impaired, as well as mobile devices such as PDAs or web-enabled mobile phones.

KMP will ensure that your site is optimised against the agreed objectives for these parameters set out at the beginning of a website development programme.
