Bill Daring - Biography
Bill Daring is the Chairman and CEO of
KMP.
As well as developing new business, Bill is responsible for developing KMP's strategic and technical partnerships.
Bill founded KMP in 1991, after over a decade in the advertising and PR industry, and has been responsible for its emergence as one of the most successful independent digital agencies in the UK.
During the late 1990’s, KMP pioneered the use of multimedia in websites, so much so that Macromedia commissioned KMP to build the Shockwave (precursor of Flash) website.
In 1997 he established one of the most successful biotechnology community sites - biofind.com - a web 2.0 pioneer, which is still the market leader today.
Bills current interests include social media, web 2.0 applications and PR 2.0 . KMP has recently launched PressRoom, a social media release template, soon to become a basic PR 2.0 tool for PR agencies.
Bill writes on these topics and speaks at universities, trade shows and conferences as well as in the digital seminars run by KMP.
His non-executive directorships have included Digital Industries Northwest Limited (1999-2004), Chairman of the ICT Section of Commonwealth Games Business Club (2000-2002) and he currently sits on the Skillset Interactive Media Forum.
