Littlewoods Direct

KMP has recently created a Facebook application for fashion house, Littlewoods Direct called Style Guru.

The Brief

Littlewoods Direct wanted to take advantage of the current Facebook phenomenon, and use the social network as an opportunity to enter a new marketplace.  Facebook provides Littlewoods Direct with a whole new way of targeting an audience, whilst strengthening the perception of their online brand.

Facebook Application

KMP designed and built "Style Guru", an innovative Facebook Application for Littlewoods Direct.  The application allows users to rate items of clothing, send them to their friends and then buy the item online - all from Facebook.
Users earn points each time they rate items, post the items to their profiles and send them to their friends – all in a bid to become a Style Guru! The more they use the application and send items, the sooner they achieve Style Guru status. Once they become Style Guru's they are automatically entered into a  £500 "online trolley dash" Prize Draw.

Benefits

The use of the application allowed Littlewoods Direct to obtain vital information about their target audience.
The Facebook application provides many advertising and cross-selling opportunities for the Littlewoods Direct brand, which appear both on the Facebook public profile pages and on display ads within the application. 

New traffic will be diverted to the Littlewoods Direct website from Facebook and a greater number of online purchases.
