Stuart will be looking at how PR agencies can make the most of social networks and how they can be used to generate successful social media campaigns and reach new audiences.
Stuart will also be giving tips on how to create a successful blogger relations campaign, including a guide to what not to do and providing case studies of both good and bad campaigns.
Next he will be moving on to issues surrounding measuring social media and the challenges that PRO’s face when trying to evaluate an online PR programme.
Stuart's Biography
Stuart is an award-winning PR professional with almost 20 years’ experience in public relations, marketing communications and public affairs. Most of the time has been working for consultancies, but with two spells in-house - one for the Labour Party and the other as UK Head of PR for accountants Grant Thornton.
He’s almost too embarrassed to admit it but he’s listed in PR Week’s Power Book of the 500 most influential public relations people in the UK. His awards include PR Week’s Best International Campaign and Best Healthcare Campaign. He’s done PR for everyone from Alan Johnson, the Secretary of State for Health through to Sooty and Brian Blessed.
He’s also worked for lots of the big corporates, government departments, local government, charities and smaller start-ups and owner-managed businesses. Some of the names you might recognise are Royal Mail, Privilege Insurance, University of Leeds, ITnet plc, Irwin Mitchell, ICL Fujtsu, Sanderson Computers, Premier Farnell plc, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, University of Sussex, Department for Education and Employment, International Milton Keynes, Skills for Justice, Ministry of Defence, British Library, British Computer Society and the Forestry Commission - to name but a few!
