Launch of PressRoom

Tomorrow on the 10 June, at the Future of PR Technology seminar in Manchester we will launch Ackura PressRoom, an on line social media press office, designed for Public Relations agencies.

PressRoom will be offered as a software service (ASP) to PR agencies who will be able to provide individually branded PressRooms for all their clients. The PressRoom software allows agencies to write search and semantically optimised news information for the web which can be accompanied by videos, photos and podcasts and presented as a social media release which is then distributed to the news aggregators and easily syndicated around the social media and social bookmarking sites. The social media release is defined by Brian Solis in his ipaper.

Over the next few months I will be presenting the theory behind the social media release at a series of seminars (see KMP Seminars) where we will be able to discuss PR 2.0 and its implication in the industry.
