Happy New Year with UGC

How will “User Generated Content” change our lives in 2007.

In 2006 we saw Terry Tate the office linebacker drama unfold and lead the way in quality virals on YouTube. I expect to see more commercial use of the YouTube and other internet video channels to distribute virals.

TerryAnd this week we all witnessed a moment in history, a public state execution.  Major news outlets faced an ethical dilemma created by the Saddam Hussein execution video , i.e.,  whether or not to to televise an execution from what appeared to be cell phone video from the scene. The video has since spread like wildfire through the Internet. For many viewers the horror of watching a state execution on the web masked the historic moment of UGC scooping the traditional media. This will change the way the news is delivered in future.

So how will you use the growiing UGC bandwagon this year to get your message across?
